Dennis Eckersley is in midseason form.
The Hall of Famer and NESN analyst isn't holding back with his commentary and it's not even spring training yet. Late Thursday night Eckersley put analyst Bill James in his crosshairs, telling the Red Sox consultant to "Shut up" in response to a tweet about the late Frank Robinson's 1966 American League MVP candidacy. (Robinson passed away Thursday.)
In another recent social media salvo, Eckersley retweeted a post suggesting the Red Sox were entering spring training with a bullpen that wasn't up to snuff.
Red Sox current bullpen:- Matt Barnes- Ryan Brasier- Colten Brewer- Heath Hembree- Brian Johnson- Brandon Workman- Steven Wright- Tyler Thornburg (maybe)- Carson Smith (maybe)If you feel okay with that, let me hit that joint too.
