The Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees 15-7 at Fenway Park on Thursday night in the start of a four-game series. Red Sox first baseman and former Yankee Steve Pearce had the best game of his career, hitting three home runs, in the third, fourth and sixth innings. In doing so he joined an exclusive club of just two other Red Sox players, Mo Vaughn and Kevin Millar, who have hit three home runs in a game against the Yankees.
