Potential Bruins trade targets at NHL All-Star break

The All-Star break is here, the NHL trade deadline is less than one month away on Feb. 24, and that means trade talks are really going to heat up.
As always there are teams still determining whether they’re going to be buyers or sellers, there are rentals that teams have to dump before they lose them for nothing, and there are players with term that might cost a little more but could give an acquiring team more bang for the buck.
The Bruins, of course, are going to be buyers. The safe bet is to predict they’ll acquire one versatile top-nine forward that could help them hold off Tampa Bay in the Atlantic Division and make a second straight deep run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. But the Bruins might also need help on the back end. Sweeney could stand pat or he could uncharacteristically give up a ton of assets to shore up both positions.
Sometimes striking early in the trade market is beneficial for sparking a team well in advance of the deadline and giving new players more time to get acclimated. With that in mind, check out the slideshow above for a look at several players the Bruins should be watching and inquiring about.
