Aqib Talib's brother, Yaqub, wanted in connection to shooting at youth football game in Texas

Yaqub Talib, the brother of former NFL cornerback Aqib Talib, is wanted by authorities in Texas in connection to a fatal shooting of an adult male at a youth football game this weekend, the Lancaster Police Department announced on Sunday.

The victim was shot and killed during an argument at the conclusion of a game involving 9-year-olds. TMZ Sports obtained video that showed parents and coaches fuming with the refs and with each other when five gunshots suddenly rang out.

After the chaos calms down, the video then resumes showing people attending to the man who was shot. He is believed to be a coach for one of the teams although his identity has not been confirmed. He later died at the hospital.

Aqib, who played 12 seasons in the NFL with the Buccaneers, Patriots, Broncos and Rams and is currently an analyst for Amazon, was present at the scene, per TMZ.

His attorney confirmed so in a statement.

“Aqib was present when this unfortunate incident occurred and is very distraught and devastated over this terrible loss of life,” his attorney said. “He would like to convey his condolences to the family of the victim and to everyone who witnessed this unfortunate tragedy.”

It is unclear exactly what the charge is for Yaqub, other than he is wanted in connection to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
