A.J. Quetta was moved out of Massachusetts General Hospital Tuesday morning as he is being transferred to Shepherd Rehabilitation Center in Atlanta, and his Bishop Feehan teammates were there to send him off.
Quetta suffered a serious spinal cord injury during a hockey game on Jan. 26 when he crashed head-first into the boards.
His teammates gathered outside Mass General around 6 a.m. in their hockey uniforms with sticks and signs of support in tow. They have created AJ's Army to support their teammate and help raise money for Quetta and his family.

A GoFundMe page set up by the Quetta family has raised nearly $900,000 so far. Those wishing to support Quetta and his family can also donate through The Greg Hill Foundation, whose fundraiser has raised an additional $153,000.
The Bruins announced on Monday that the Boston Bruins Foundation's 50/50 raffle for Quetta raised over $300,000, making it their largest jackpot ever.
On Friday, the family shared their latest update about A.J. being transferred to Atlanta:
The Quetta family would like to take this opportunity to update everyone on AJ’s status.
AJ is being transferred Monday to the Shepherd Rehabilitation Center in Atlanta. The care he has received at Massachusetts General Hospital has been world-class. The doctors, nurses and staff have been outstanding. It’s now time for the next step in his rehab process.
AJ will spend at least the next three months at Shepherd, which is considered one of the top rehabilitation hospitals in the country. It specializes in the treatment of spinal cord injuries.
“We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and prayers for our son,” said Anthony Quetta, Sr. “Words can’t express our steadfast appreciation to all the donors during this time. This would not be possible without all the support we have received.
“AJ realizes how awesome and incredible the support has been. He is determined to beat the odds and return to his family and friends. He is very motivated.”
The family will provide further update when appropriate.
