Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak, Tuukka Rask well regarded by peers in NHLPA player poll

The annual NHLPA Player Poll is out, and the Bruins are well represented in a variety of categories.

The poll surveyed nearly 500 current NHL players on a variety of topics, from on-ice skill to off-ice personality and fashion.

Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron tied with Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby for first in "most complete player," with each getting 23.78% of the vote. Bergeron also tied for fourth in "player you'd want if you had to win one game," finishing behind Connor McDavid, Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon.

Linemate David Pastrnak finished third in "best goal-scorer" (behind Auston Matthews and Alex Ovechkin), fifth in "best shot," first in "most unique tape job," and second in "most fashionable" (behind Matthews).

Tuukka Rask finished fifth in "best goalie" behind runaway winner Andrei Vasilevskiy, Marc-Andre Fleury, Carey Price and Connor Hellebuyck. That may come as a surprise to some of the Bruins goalie's more vocal critics.

Disappointingly, this year's poll did not include "best trash-talker" or "worst trash-talker," both of which Brad Marchand won last year. Marchand did not finish in the top five in any category this year, nor did Charlie McAvoy. The top five defensemen were Victor Hedman, Roman Josi, Cale Makar, Drew Doughty and John Carlson.

The poll also included a couple questions about this season's unique division format. While 68.2% would prefer to see the divisions revert to normal instead of remaining the same as this year, 66.3% would like to see the two-game series-style schedule continue in some way going forward.
