The Washington Capitals have one of the most rabid fanbases in the NHL, right?

Eh, not so fast.

The Capitals hosted the Boston Bruins for Game 1 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday and the ratings are in.

NBC Sports PR says the top market during the game was Boston with a 9.2 share. Providence was next at 8.9. So Washington must have been next, right? No, not even close.

Washington came in at six with a 3.4 share. They were beat by Fort Myers, Fla. (4.2), Pittsburgh (3.9) and Baltimore (3.7).

To be fair, if you combine Baltimore and Washington that number is 7.1, which is good for third.

The series is currently tied at one game apiece, with Game 3 set for Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. in Boston.
