David Pastrnak named NHL All-Star for 4th time

David Pastrnak is an NHL All-Star once again.

The NHL announced one All-Star from each of the 16 Eastern Conference teams Thursday night, and Pastrnak was selected as the Boston Bruins' representative.

It is the fourth time Pastrnak will head to the All-Star Game, which will be played in Toronto on Feb. 3. He was also an All-Star in 2019, 2020 and 2023, and won the All-Star Game MVP Award in 2020.

Pastrnak entered Thursday night tied for sixth in the NHL in both goals (22) and points (50). He added two more points less than six minutes into the Bruins' game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, assisting on a Brad Marchand goal and then scoring one of his own.

Once the first 32 All-Stars (one from each team) are announced, the final 12 spots will be decided by a fan vote.

The Bruins' top candidate in that fan vote will likely be goalie Jeremy Swayman, who is looking for his first All-Star nod. Swayman is 11-2-4 this season and is tied for third in the NHL in save percentage (.928).
