David Pastrnak shares funny story about Patrice Bergeron's leadership

Bruins linemates David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand are two of the bigger personalities in the NHL -- Pastrnak with stylish suits, sunglasses and "Barbie Girl," and Marchand with a long history of elite on-ice trash talk.

Their center and captain, Patrice Bergeron, is the much more stoic leader and star. It's easy to imagine Bergeron playing the role of the dad who has to calm his wings down or reign them in, and it turns out that has in fact happened.

Appearing on the latest episode of Barstool's Spittin' Chiclets podcast, Pastrnak, while discussing Bergeron's leadership, shared a funny story of a time Bergeron basically had to treat him and Marchand like two bickering children.

"The funny thing is like me and Marchy, we bark at each other a lot during games, in a kind of funny way," Pastrnak said. "We love each other, but on the ice we kind of sometimes do a little barking at each other. And then Bergy's just sitting in the middle of us. I remember me and Marchy were just going at it for a good 30 seconds, back and forth, and then Bergy just goes like, 'Enough!' And absolutely silent. Silent. No other word was spoken until the next shift. It's just unbelievable. I'm so lucky to be his linemate and learn from him every day."

Pastrnak, the reigning co-winner of the Rocket Richard Trophy as the NHL's leading goal-scorer, has had a bit of an up-and-down season this year by his standards and has been moved between the first and second lines at times.

He has picked up his game since his most recent move back to the top line last week, though, registering six points (1 goal, 5 assists) in the Bruins' last three games.
