Just like their last back-to-back, Jayson Tatum and Al Horford will not play in Milwaukee on Thursday following a visit to Chicago. Tatum, who was probable Wednesday due to right patella tendinopathy, has been ruled out for the same reason. Al Horford was probable ahead of Boston's game against Chicago because of low back soreness, and he will miss Thursday's game because of the same issue.
However, Jaylen Brown was not listed on Boston's early injury report for Thursday's game. He was listed as probable due to right knee tendinopathy against Chicago, like he was against Minnesota before sitting out against Toronto in Boston's previous back-to-back. Yet, he's the lone Celtics starter who appears to be locked in to play Thursday.
And Brown may ride solo because Marcus Smart has been added to the injury report. He's only listed as probable because of a right ankle sprain, but Smart did allude to the possibility of him not playing against Milwaukee after Wednesday's win.
