Celtics' play-in opponent locked in for a Tuesday night showdown

Well, if the Celtics are going to use the postseason to flip their script it will be starting Tuesday night against the Washington Wizards.

With Wizards' win over the Hornets Sunday afternoon, the matchup between No. 9 Washington team and the Celtics is set for Tuesday night at TD Garden.

The No. 7 seed Celtics aren't heading into the postseason with a boatload of momentum, having dropped their regular season finale Sunday afternoon, 96-92, to the No. 4 seeded Knicks.

The Celtics -- who will be playing without one of their Top 2 players, Jaylen Brown -- lost five of their last six games.

The most recent time the Celtics played the Wizards they came away with a one-point win on Feb. 28 - a game Brown did not play in - having split their previous two meetings.
