Celtics reportedly sign sharp-shooting former No. 8 overall pick

The Celtics are locking up a player who is feeling pretty good about himself. Scoring 100 points in the past two games will do that.

Nik Stauskas, who managed to combined for the century mark over his last two games with G-League Grand Rapids, has agreed to a two-year deal with the Celtics, according to ESPN.com.

The eighth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, the sharp-shooting Stauskas has played for six teams over a seven-year career, shooting a combined 35.4 percent from three-point range.

In 14 G-League games this season, the former University of Michigan product was averaging 26 points per game, taking just more than eight three-pointers a contest.

Other than playing in two games with the Miami Heat this season, Statuskas hasn't played in the NBA since the 2018-19 season.
