Heart-breaking two-overtime loss leading Celtics to Game 7

An epic double-overtime game has led the Celtics and the Raptors to a Game 7.

Toronto showed why it is the defending world champs, outlasting the Celtics for a 125-122 win in a game that both teams throwing haymakers until the end. The final dagger, however, came from Toronto's Kyle Lowry who extended his team's lead to four with a step-back with 11.7 second left.

Jayson Tatum cut the lead to a point with a three-pointer with seven seconds left, leading to Jason Powell's two free throws.

The Celtics' last chance came with Marcus Smart's missed three-pointer with two seconds left.

Jaylen Brown forced things into a second overtime making two free throws with 18.9 seconds left. The Raptors last chance to win it in the first OT ended when Norman Powell's last-second jumper missed the mark.

The Celtics' starting five -- Brown, Tatum, Kemba Walker, Daniel Theis and Marcus Smart -- played the entire fourth quarter and both overtimes without any substitutions. All five ended up playing 47 minutes or more.

Brown led all Celtics scorers with 31 points, also hauling in 16 rebounds. Tatum netted 29 with 11 boards. Kemba Walker, who was the recipient of a box-in-one defense for most of the first half, finished with just five points and 2-for-11 shooting the floor.

Toronto's Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry each logged 54 minutes with Lowry leading all scorers with 33 points.

Game 7 will be Friday, 9 p.m.
