Jon Lyons and Nick “Fitzy” Stevens were on WEEI on Sunday and were joined in studio by Justin Turpin of WEEI to talk about the Knicks vs. Pacers Game 7 and how Indiana could challenge the Celtics.
When asked which team would give the Celtics more problems, Turpin said Indiana.
“They (the Pacers) are going to push them on the defensive end. Last year Joe Mazzulla admitted when they fell behind 0-3 (to Miami), there was a defensive disconnect and that’s what led to them falling behind 0-3. If you play a team like the Pacers, you cannot slack off on defense because they’re going to make you pay for it and they’re going to make you uncomfortable,” Turpin said.
The guys also talked about the speed the Pacers play with and how that could challenge the Celtics. In addition, people should be less upset than they are about the Celtics dominating in the playoffs. Listen to the clip below for the full discussion!
