Report: Ime Udoka made 'unwanted comments' towards female employee

Wyc Grousbeck and Brad Stevens didn't delve into specifics when addressing Ime Udoka's yearlong suspension Thursday.

But NBA reporter Shams Charania filled in some of the blanks with a new report filed early Friday morning.

Charania writes the Celtics originally believed Udoka's relationship with a female staffer was consensual, but later learned that Udoka made unwanted comments towards her. Grousbeck said Friday the team hired a law firm to investigate the situation sometime in July.

"Some members of the Celtics organization first became aware of the relationship in July, sources said. At that time, team leadership was led to believe by both parties that the relationship was consensual. But sources said that the woman recently accused Udoka of making unwanted comments toward her — leading the team to launch a set of internal interviews," writes Charania.

On Friday, Grousbeck confirmed to reporters Udoka committed multiple violations of team policy. Grousbeck also confirmed Udoka is facing a severe financial penalty.

Grousbeck said the organization will revisit Udoka's status when his suspension expires next June.
