Jaylen Brown, 2 more Celtics questionable as injury report continues to grow

It would be shorter to list the Celtics who are not on the injury report than the ones who are.

That's not an exaggeration. The injury report released by the team Saturday evening has nine players on it, leaving only eight players on the active roster who are in the clear.

Of note, Jaylen Brown, Semi Ojeleye and Javonte Green have all been added with the "health and safety protocols" designation and are listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Heat.

That comes in the wake of the news earlier Saturday that Jayson Tatum reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, forcing the Celtics to cancel practice and shut down their facility on Saturday.

Tatum is listed as doubtful. The reason he might not be ruled out just yet is that the Celtics are reportedly still waiting for the results of a confirmation test.

Robert Williams, Tristan Thompson and Grant Williams were already in the health and safety protocols and remain out. Robert Williams reportedly tested positive on Friday, with the other two considered close contacts.

Kemba Walker (left knee) and Romeo Langford (right wrist) remain out as well, although in one positive development of the last couple days, Walker has been cleared to start practicing... whenever the Celtics are allowed to practice.

As of Saturday evening, the Celtics' game against the Heat at TD Garden on Sunday is still on. This is obviously a fluid situation, though.

If Tatum, Brown, Ojeleye and Green were to all be ruled out, the Celtics would be left with Marcus Smart, Payton Pritchard, Jeff Teague, Carsen Edwards, Tremont Waters, Aaron Nesmith, Daniel Theis and Tacko Fall.
