Former NBA executive Ryan McDonough experienced lots of ups and downs during his stints with the Celtics and Suns. In his mind, Marcus Smart's comments about Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown not passing the ball enough weren't a big deal, as long as his grievances were aired previously.
On "Gresh & Keefe" Tuesday, McDonough insinuated teams can move on from these kinds of incidents — though he admitted coaches would obviously prefer these discussions happen behind closed doors.
"I tend not to overreact to this kind of stuff as much as others do, because I've lived it, and know how emotional things can get — especially after a home loss when the team melts down," McDonough said.
