The Patriots have “The Dynasty,” the Red Sox have the tentatively titled “Play Ball,” set to release in 2025, and now the Boston Celtics are joining the fray with a multi-part docuseries currently in the works.
When appearing on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show,” Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck announced the big news.
“Nothing to officially report yet, but we are in production on a multi-part, absolutely top-quality fantastic documentary series along the lines of, hopefully, ‘The Last Dance,’” Grousbeck said. “We are deep into that. We have signed contracts. Film is being filmed, archives are being gone through, and it’s in process.”
Grousbeck announced that the docuseries has been following the team throughout the year, and regardless of whether they win the title or not, it will be released.
