NBA acknowledges missed call that may have cost Celtics Game 6

The NBA has issued its Last 2 Minute Report from Wednesday night's Celtics-Raptors Game 6, and it validates some of the anger Celtics fans felt towards the officiating.

The report says two calls were missed, one in the closing seconds of regulation and one in the first overtime. Both non-calls hurt the Celtics.

The first and most blatant came on Kemba Walker's drive to the hoop with the game tied 98-98 in the final seconds of the regulation. Walker couldn't finish, but the report confirms that he got fouled on the arm by OG Anunoby on the play. Had the call been made, Walker would've gone to the line for go-ahead free throws with 2.2 seconds to go.

The report doesn't say anything about the timeout that was granted to the Raptors on the same play instead of a jump ball being called.

The second missed call came with 1:32 left in the first overtime and the game tied 104-104, when Norman Powell should have been called for a travel. Powell instead wound up drawing a foul call on Walker on the play and made both of his free throws.

The report also addresses Jayson Tatum's turnover in the second overtime, when it appeared he mistook Raptors coach Nick Nurse for a teammate. Nurse was right on the edge of the court and seemed to be in the pose of a player waiting for a pass in a bit of gamesmanship.

The report says Nurse's presence in the corner was "not illegal" and that he did "not directly interfere with the play."

Game 7 is Friday night at 9 p.m.
