NBA provides clarity on Jrue Holiday foul in L2M report

Apparently, the refs got everything right!

The NBA's Last Two Minute Report for Game 3 is out, and Celtics fans aren't going to like it.

The league has backed Saturday's refs on every single thing that happened in the final 4.6 seconds of Boston's loss.

"(Jrue) Holiday commits a foul by making contact with (Marcus) Smart's arms before he is bringing the ball upward toward the basket," the report read on the controversial call.

As much as everyone wants to wag their finger about the game not coming down to that one play, it was an egregious error. In the regular season, the NBA might come clean on that one, but not in the playoffs.

Also, let's not forget the chaos that ensued after Smart's missed free throw. Apparently, there wasn't a single foul in that sequence either.

"(Bobby) Portis makes marginal contact with Smart as he reaches for the rebound but does not affect Smart's ability to control the ball," the report read. "Portis, (Grant) Williams, and Brook Lopez make incidental contact with each other as they reach for the rebound. (Robert) Williams III then makes contact with the ball and deflects it off of the backboard."

Interesting what constitutes "marginal" contact these days.
