Dalano Banton is returning to the state where he played high school basketball.

The point guard has agreed to a two-year deal with the Celtics, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Now two years into his NBA career, the 2021 NBA Draft’s 41st overall pick appeared in 61 games with the Raptors as a rookie before only playing in 31 last season.

While he doesn’t bring an eye-popping track record, Banton does provide serious length to the point guard position. At 6-foot-9, Banton offers versatility on the defensive end while bolstering Boston’s group of ball handlers.
