Source: Fenway Sports Group currently has 'no interest' in purchasing Celtics

According to a source with knowledge of the situation, Fenway Sports Group currently has "no interest" in getting into the bidding to purchase the Celtics, and hasn't made any sort of contact to explore such an endeavor.

An NBA source told the Boston Globe that it was unlikely any deal to sell the franchise would be done before the end of 2024, and that the process was still in its early stages.

Team owner Wyc Grousbeck has said he intends to remain as the controlling owner through 2025. "He reiterated his support for basketball operations," said president of basketball operations Brad Stevens at this week's Media Day. "And he said to just keep on doing what we're doing ... and know that this is probably going to be a long process."
