Few Celtics' followers would shy away from their team reeling in Victor Oladipo.
The 28-year-old Pacers star reportedly can be had this offseason for the right deal, with Oladipo heading into the final year of his contract. So, is there a path for the shooting guard to land with the Celts? One internet proposal has been surfaced that at leads to some conversation.
This is what Bleacher Report's Zach Buckley proposed:
Boston gets: Oladipo, center Myles Turner, forward T.J. Leaf.
Indiana gets: Guard Marcus Smart, forward Gordon Hayward, center Daniel Theis and the No. 14 overall pick.
Any deal involving Smart will be a tough pill for some Celtics' fans to swallow, but in order to make a trade of any significance the guard will likely have to be involved. Hayward reportedly wouldn't mind a new home, with Indiana most likely at the top of his wish-list. And Theis is another valued member of this gritty-gutty Celtics group, but doesn't have the upside Turner delivers.
The idea of a starting five that consists of Kemba Walker, Oladipo, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Turner is too tantalizing not to talk about.
