You can debate Jaylen Brown vs. Jayson Tatum all you want. Don't stop now. One night you will be wrong, and the next you will be right.
But if you truly want to dig in on a reality regarding these Boston Celtics, starting focusing in on Kemba Walker.
Walker is truly the make-or-break player for Brad Stevens' team, a fact that was put on display once again in the C's 99-86 win over the high-flying Suns.
In this one against this team -- which, by the way, just so happened to be coming off wins over Milwaukee and Philadelphia -- Walker wasn't hard to find, scoring 32 points, while enacting his will on the defensive end.
There were three -- count them, three -- offensive fouls taken by Walker, giving the guard 19 in just 38 games. That would tie him for the most in the NBA.
It would seem as though Walker and his knee are feeling spry at just the right time, which is the best possible news this Celtics team could get at this point in the season.
"I'm feeling great," Walker said. "I've been doing a great job of just taking care of my body. It's all about the upkeep and continuing to do that. Continuing to feel good."
It's not difficult to uncover how impactful Walker's presence has been, with the Celtics winning nine of the 10 games he has played in.
While averaging virtually the same amount of minutes (33) as he was a month ago, April has seen Walker's shooting percentage go from 40 to 46 percent, while notching an assist more per game.
Yes, Tatum and Brown will continue to do their things. This time even that dynamic wasn't needed, with Tatum managing just 14 points and Brown sitting out. Bench scorer Evan Fournier also will most likely offer a push, coming back into the fold Sunday. And newly-added presences of Romeo Langford and Jabari Parker offer niche pieces of the puzzle.
Nothing, however, is as important as Walker being this kind of Kemba.
