According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Cavs were nearing a deal with free agent wing Danny Green on Sunday.

In Cleveland, Green could have a "significant opportunity to make an impact" for a playoff team, Woj added.

However, in apparent response to Wojnarowski's report, Green took to social media to caution that nothing was official.

"It's not done yet..." Green tweeted.

The 35-year-old, 14-year veteran hit free agency after reaching a buyout agreement with the Houston Rockets, who acquired him from the Grizzlies via trade shortly before last week's deadline. Green appeared in just three games with Memphis after sitting out the first several months of the season while recovering from a torn ACL suffered late last season.

Green was traded to the Grizzlies in the offseason as part of the deal that sent DeAnthony Melton to the Philadelphia 76ers, where Green had spent the 2020-21 and 21-22 seasons.

For his career, Green is averaging 8.7 points on 42% shooting (40% from deep), along with 3.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1 steal and .8 blocks per game in 25.3 minutes per game.

The former UNC star has won three NBA championships -- with the Spurs, Raptors, and Lakers -- along with a national title as a member of the Tar Heels.

Through Saturday's action, the Cavaliers were in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, with two games remaining before the All-Star break.
