At the end of Thursday's Dale & Keefe program, Dale Arnold announced he's retiring effective Friday after the show.

"I am going to retire from the radio business," Arnold said. "I am not going to be coming back after tomorrow's show."

Arnold added: "The reason I am doing it this way, telling you today that tomorrow is it, is because I did not want some long, drawn-out Mike Francesa farewell tour."

Rich Keefe will have a new co-host on Monday, which will be announced at a later time. Arnold will call 10 or so Red Sox games this summer and continue his work at NESN.

Arnold has been with the station since 1991 and is the only person to have called play-by-play for all five Boston professional teams (Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins and Revolution).
