When it comes to Tom Brady's real estate transactions, we already have plenty of celebrities and opulence in the conversations. For instance, Brady and his wife Gisele Bundchen previously sold their refurbished Brentwood, Calif. estate to Dr. Dre in 2014.
And when news recently came out the New York Post that the couple was planning to scoop a $17 million place in the Miami suburb of Island Creek (also known as "Billionaire Bunker) the list of neighbors -- investor Carl Icahn, supermodel Adriana Lima, and Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump ( just bought their $31 plot fro Julio Iglesias) -- was fairly notable.
And don't forget where the Bradys have called home during the current NFL season -- in Derek Jeter's Tampa-area mansion.
Now, thanks to Dirt.com, we have some more details regarding Tom and Gisele's first permanent Florida address. It turns out another iconic supermodel Elle MacPherson is linked to the equation.
MacPherson is married to Jeffrey Soffer, who lives next door to Brady's new property. The mansion bought by the former Patriot had originally been sold by developer Jackie Soffer, who sold it to her brother for $17 million. Jeffrey and Elle are evidently good friends with Tom and Gisele, perhaps explaining the willingness to sell the real estate for the same price in 2017.
Interesting enough, Jackie had originally been asking for $29.5 million before selling the 6,400-square-foot home to her brother. She paid $11.5 million for the lot in 2007, according to TheRealDeal.com.
Brady and. Bundchen plan on tearing down the 72-year-old house currently residing on the two-acre piece of land with the intention of building a more eco-friendly residence.
