Former Red Sox minor-leaguer Charles Haeger is being sought by Scottsdale (AZ) police on suspicion of murder and aggravated assault in the shooting of his ex-girlfriend.
The 37-year-old last pitched in the major leagues in 2010 for the Dodgers, making 34 total career big-league appearances.
A 25th-round pick of the White Sox in 2001, Haeger spent two seasons in the Red Sox organization. He pitched in eight games at Double-A Portland in 2011 before splitting time between the Sea Dogs and Triple-A Pawtucket in 2013.
