Former NBA player Delonte West appears to be doing much better than the last time a photo of him surfaced.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who met with West at a gas station on Monday, shared a photo of the 37-year-old riding horseback at a rehab center in Florida that he checked into on Thursday.

“Ladies & Gentlemen, I present to you, Delonte West,” Cuban tweeted. “A long, long, long way to go, but he has taken the first steps and shared these with all of us as a thank you for the love and support.”

A photo of West had surfaced in recent weeks that showed the former NBA guard on the side of a Dallas street appearing to be begging for money. Several ex-teammates and coaches were reportedly trying to reach out to help him.

Cuban was among those trying to contact West and reportedly picked him up at a gas station in Dallas on Monday and checked him into a hotel. West’s family had been trying to get him into rehab, which Cuban reportedly offered to pay.

West, who was the 24th overall pick by the Boston Celtics out of St. Joseph’s in 2004, played eight seasons in the NBA, which included stints in Boston, Seattle, Cleveland and Dallas.

Since his playing days, photos have periodically surfaced of West, each time with the former NBA player looking in worse shape than the last.

With West in rehab, it appears as if he is at least back on the right track.
