The Patriots added some depth to their offensive line late in the 2021 NFL Draft on Saturday.

With their second pick in Round 6, No. 197 overall, the team selected William Sherman out of Colorado.

They now have just one pick remaining.

Here are three quick thoughts on Sherman.

-- The 6-foot-3, 304 pound Sherman played both left and right tackle at Colorado, as well as took some snaps at center. Additionally, some project him as a guard in the NFL, so he has a lot of versatility. He is durable as he made 26 straight starts and has over 2,000 career snaps.

-- As a sophomore in high school, he blocked for Kyler Murray. Sherman was the starting right tackle on a team that won the 2014 6A state championship in Texas.

-- Sherman figures to be a developmental player for the Patriots as they figure out what his best position is. He figures to have an uphill climb when it comes to making the roster this summer given the current depth of the offensive line.
