Zappe Fever is back with a vengeance.
After a rough interception from Mac Jones killed a promising Patriots drive in the second quarter, the rookie came back onto the field and immediately led a touchdown drive to get New England back into a wild game against the Chicago Bears.
Zappe immediately came in and completed his first three passes, including a 30-yard touchdown pass to Jakobi Meyers, to send the Patriots fans in attendance into a frenzy.
Jones, who looked somewhat uncomfortable in the pocket despite his ability to run for a few first downs, had his moments. But he apparently was no match for destiny in this one.
