CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Baker Mayfield isn’t crazy.
He knows what he saw, and he believes it too – we are not alone in the universe.
“I am a firm believer in UFOs and Sasquatch,” Mayfield said Monday during a Zoom video conference with reporters. “It’s real. I saw it. I’m glad the navy finally confirmed some more pictures. Now everybody doesn’t think I’m as crazy. I believe.”
Earlier this year Mayfield and his wife, Emily, saw a UFO while driving home from dinner in Texas.
Mayfield tweeted about it drawing mixed reactions on social media.
Tom Brady took to Twitter and defend Mayfield after a national talk show host, who trolls Mayfield regularly, criticized the Browns QB for tweeting about what he saw.
Monday, Mayfield recounted what led to the tweet, and what he saw confirmed his belief.
“we were driving home from dinner, I don’t remember what day it was but [we were] just driving home and had the music going and it was one of those things [Emily] was looking down at her phone riding in the passenger’s seat and [it was] nighttime,” Mayfield said. “So when you’re looking at your phone screen, everything’s dark around, you only see that light, it was bright enough to where it caught her attention too. We kind of just looked at each other and were like, ‘Did you just see that? Yeah.’
“Other people in the area confirmed it too.”
