Chaos has ruled over the NFL these past few weeks.
COVID-19 cases. Postponements. Disgruntled players. Welcome to the Week 5.
But while many are urging the league to shut things down for a while, adding an additional week at the end of the regular season, Boomer Esiason sees it a little bit differently.
"I do agree to some extent that we have to continue to try and push through this thing," the CBS/WFAN analyst said Monday morning during his weekly appearance on the Greg Hill Show.
"We want to make sure the health and safety everybody on the field is first and foremost. Everybody away from the field and away from the facility, that' their responsibilities. I don't know if there is a right way or a wrong way here. All I know is the NFL is trying to do the best they can to deliver the games, to pay the players, to make the money all these teams make on a daily basis. And to a lesser extent, as fans and analysts have something to do and also have our jobs."
Esiason also discussed how he viewed other elements of the league's current COVID-19 crisis, along with the Dak Prescott injury and the fact that during his playing days he never forgot how many downs there were (as was the case with Tom Brady last Thursday).
