Bruce Arians gives update on Tom Brady recovery time following knee surgery

On the day of the Buccaneers' Super Bowl boat parade, it was learned Tom Brady would need offseason knee surgery.

Speaking to reporters via video conference Wednesday, Tampa Bay head coach Bruce Arians provided an update on when he might return to action.

The coach estimated Brady would be ready for 7-on-7 field work around June and he doesn't really need to throw this offseason because he can just "coach the [expletive] out of" his teammates.

At the time, it was described as minor by Arians, but Ben Volin of the Boston Globe reported something different.

It is unclear exactly when Brady had the surgery, or when he injured the knee as he did not appear on the injury report all season.

Regardless, it doesn't appear to be a major deal for Brady or the Bucs, who will be looking to repeat in 2021.
