Over the last 24-plus hours, all that has been talked about is Patriots quarterback Cam Newton testing positive for COVID-19, but there was nothing relating to any symptoms, how he's feeling, etc.
But then on Sunday there was a report from FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, which indicates there aren't any symptoms at all.
According to the NFL analyst, Newton is asymptomatic.
In terms of what that means for when he can return, Newton can rejoin the team following two straight negative tests at least 24 hours apart beginning five days after testing positive. This means there is a chance Newton could play next Sunday against the Broncos.
On Sunday afternoon, Newton posted a message to Instagram thanking everyone for the well wishes.
The Patriots-Chiefs game scheduled for Sunday was moved to Monday night.
