The NFL trade deadline is just over 24 hours away and the Patriots at 2-5 could be sellers, but also could be buyers with an eye towards the future.
Appearing on The Greg Hill Show, Cam Newton was asked if he believes the team needs to make a deal?
“Man listen here, that’s the last of my worries," he said. "I just want to make it clear that I have no interest of worrying about anybody’s job except for my job. I do believe and [have] all faith of the front office and what Coach Bill [wants] for this team moving forward. And I just have to be the person they expect me to be and what I am expecting to be as well.”
Offensively, the team could certainly use another wide receiver, even before all the injuries this past week, as well as a tight end since the position has barely produced at all, especially rookies Dalton Keene and Devin Asiasi.
Reports Sunday morning expected the Patriots to be quiet, but obviously things can potentially change and change quickly.
