Colin Cowherd isn't afraid to say what is on his mind, even if it's against the grain, which leads to him saying some things that make you shake your head.
He was at it again this week when he claimed the Patriots are now irrelevant without Tom Brady.
“The Patriots now, with Brady, feels like a long time ago,” he said on "The Herd." “They’re irrelevant. I mean, Tom’s going to be the only guy that gets two statues — one in New England, one in Tampa. They’re irrelevant. They’re so bad and Tom’s so good they don’t matter.
”… The [Patriots] were a mess forever without Tom Brady. [Bill] Parcells was good for about 45 minutes. He left. Pete Carroll came in and that didn’t work. They’ve never had any sustained success without Brady. Hell, [Bill] Belichick couldn’t win the year before Tom started and he couldn’t win the year after he left. I just don’t think New England ever understood in the moment, how much of this, how transformative Tom was as a personality.”
It's interesting that he claims the Patriots are now "irrelevant," but yet even though they aren't in the Super Bowl, they have been a major topic of discussion this week, both locally and nationally.
