All spring and summer, Patriots rookies have worn numbers starting at No. 50, which is something Bill Belichick has done for the last several years as a way to show them they need to earn everything.
But, now that the first preseason game has come around, it's time for them to get real numbers.
Mac Jones headlines the class, as he will wear No. 10 -- the first time a Patriots player has had that number since Jimmy Garoppolo. Also, Tre Nixon has No. 87, which is the first time a player has worn it since Rob Gronkowski.
Here's the complete list.
No. 3: K Quinn Nordin
No. 10: QB Mac Jones
No. 34: S Joshuah Bledsoe
No. 38: RB Rhamondre Stevenson
No. 45: LB Cameron McGrone
No. 51: OLB Ronnie Perkins
No. 68: OL Will Sherman
