With the NFL's flex scheduling for the final week of the season, the date and time for the Patriots-Dolphins game was not officially set until late Sunday night.
It will be played Sunday, January 9 at 4:25 p.m. in South Florida.
Two games will be played Saturday on ESPN -- Kansas City at Denver in the late afternoon and then Dallas at Philadelphia at night. Sunday Night Football will be the Chargers at Raiders, with the winner making the postseason and the loser not.
As for the Patriots now playing later in the day, the other AFC East game -- Jets at Bills -- will also be at that time. New England needs a Buffalo loss combined with a win to win the AFC East.
