Well, the refs made a call that decided the Super Bowl.

On 3rd and 8 with 1:54 to go in a 35-35 instant classic Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes threw an incomplete pass. However, the refs called a holding penalty on Eagles CB James Bradberry, who grabbed Chiefs WR Juju Smith-Schuster, lightly.

The Chiefs kicked the game-winning chip shot with eight seconds to go and won the game 38-35.

Jalen Hurts accounted for 246 total yards of offense and three touchdowns in the first half, including two rushing touchdowns and a beautiful 45-yard touchdown pass to A.J. Brown, as the Eagles took a 24-14 lead into halftime.

Thanks in large part to a Hurts fumble and Kansas City defensive touchdown, Patrick Mahomes and the KC offense was only on the field for about nine minutes in the first half. However, after injuring his ankle right before halftime, Mahomes and the Chiefs came right out and marched down the field for a touchdown to make it 24-21 to start the third quarter.

Then, after a 17-play drive from the Eagles resulted in a FG to make it 27-21, Mahomes connected with Kadarius Toney to give the Chiefs a 28-27 lead. And just a few minutes later, Toney set up another Chiefs touchdown (Mahomes to Skyy Moore) with the longest punt return in SB history.

On the ensuing drive, Hurts found a wide open DeVonta Smith deep down the sideline to set up his Super Bowl record third rushing touchdown and fourth touchdown of the game. Hurts then rushed for the two-point conversion as well to tie the game at 35 with 5:15 to play.

Overall, Hurts had 304 yards passing and 70 yards rushing, plus four total TDs in his first Super Bowl.
