A year ago Mohamed Sanu was considered a possible difference-maker for an aspiring contending NFL team.
Now he is jobless for the second time in a matter of months.
The wide receiver who the Patriots traded a second-round pick for last Oct. 30 has been released by the 49ers, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
Sanu, who was let go by the Patriots prior to the 2020 regular season, caught just one pass for nine yards with San Francisco this season.
