Former Patriots QB Ryan Mallett has passed away at age 35

Former New England Patriots and Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett passed away on Tuesday.

Reported first by Deltaplex News, Mallett drowned in Florida, was transported to a hospital from a beach, and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Mallett played college football at both Michigan and Arkansas before being drafted by the Patriots in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played seven seasons with the Patriots, Texans, and Ravens.

He most recently was coaching high school football at White Hall High School in Arkansas. Mallett was just 35 years old.
