It’s now officially time to look ahead to the 2023 season for the Patriots. Aside from now knowing where New England will be picking in the upcoming April draft, we also know who the Patriots will be playing next season as well.
New England’s loss to the Buffalo Bills, combined with Miami’s win over the New York Jets, sealed the team’s third-place finish in the AFC East.
That means the Patriots will face off against three fellow third-place finishing squads next year: the Pittsburgh Steelers (road), the Indianapolis Colts (home) and New Orleans Saints (home).
Here’s a glimpse at the full schedule of home (9) and away (8) opponents for next year:
New England will essentially re-play their Week 2 and Week 9 games from this year against the same opponents at the same locations, which both ended up as wins over the Steelers and Colts, respectively, this season.
The Patriots last played the Saints in Week 3 of 2021 – a 28-13 loss at Gillette Stadium.
Aside from the six division games New England will play, the team will also face the AFC West, including the Kansas City Chiefs at home and Las Vegas Raiders on the road (again), and the NFC East, led by the NFC-leading Philadelphia Eagles.
