Did you watch Mac Jones represent the AFC in the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown Thursday night? Probably not, right?
Jones was one of eight AFC players to represent the conference, which fell to the NFC, 6-1.
The Patriots rookie took part in three of the different competitions -- precision passing, thread the needle and dodgeball.
Jones struggled in the precision passing event where he needed to hit targets, including some moving ones. The Alabama product spent most of his time trying to hit a four-point target well down the field in the corner of the end zone. He finished with eight points. Russell Wilson stole the show in that event, finishing with 29 points and giving the NFC an easy win.
The AFC's only win came in the thread the needle event, which Jones was a big part of. He beat Kirk Cousins, 12-11. Quarterbacks had to hit targets on a wall, while two defenders tried to defend or intercept them.
"I was going top right or left every time and tried to use my eyes to look off defenders," Jones said on the ESPN broadcast. "I hit a few, I could've hit more, but we won so it's all good."
Jones threw passes to Tyreek Hill and Stefon Diggs in the best catch event and then closed out the night in the dodgeball game where every participant was involved. Unfortunately for Jones, he was the first player eliminated.
The game itself will take place Sunday afternoon.
