Julian Edelman practiced for the first time last week since being placed on injured reserve in late October following having a procedure on his knee.
Edelman was not activated for the game and then wasn't spotted at practice Thursday. This seems to indicate the wide receiver will not be returning to action this season.
It makes sense given the Patriots are now mathematically eliminated from the postseason following the loss to the Dolphins and no need to push things for the 34-year-old receiver.
Edelman has missed eight straight games.
The Patriots will host the Bills on Monday Night Football.
