Late in Monday's win over the Jets, running back Damien Harris took a big hit from linebacker Tarell Basham that left him on the turf for several minutes.
Harris walked to the sideline and then to the locker room and was deemed questionable to return with a chest injury.
Based on the hit and what happened afterwards there was some thought he would miss some practices this week and potentially this week's game. But, that doesn't appear to be the case as he was limited all week and spoke to the media Friday.
“To be honest, I am not really here to talk about that situation," Harris said Friday. "It happened and it’s over with. I’ve been out here trying to get myself to play in this game and that is what I am focusing on. We’re playing a good physical team this week and I’ve just been trying to do my part in getting myself as mentally ready and as physically ready to be able to play in this game and be successful.”
The running back speaking Friday is a good indication that he will play.
New England could get another running back for the game as Sony Michel could be activated off injured reserve.
