Jones' attorney, Rosemary Scapicchio, spoke to the media following Tuesday's arraignment:

"The facts of this case are that they found two guns in a carry-on bag that they said was his. He had no intention of bringing any guns into Logan Airport that day... I expect that the evidence is going to show that he had no knowledge of what was going on."

Scapicchio also alluded to the media painting Jones in a bad light, saying that he has been portrayed as a thug "with no evidence whatsoever.”

She also expressed gratitude to the Patriots for not firing her client due to media speculation:

"All Mr. Jones wants to do is play football. He doesn't want to be a distraction at all."

Jones is due back in court for a probable cause hearing on August 18. He was released on $30,000 bail.
