Jakobi Meyers has played in 36 NFL games and has 126 career receptions for 1,478 yards, but still is searching for his first career receiving touchdown (he has two passing).

In fact, he's 39 yards away from setting the NFL record for most receiving yards without a touchdown.

His father James really, really wants to see one, as he attends almost every game and will be in L.A. this Sunday.

“He probably wants it more than I do," Meyers said Wednesday. "That’s like the last thing he said to me before I get out of the car to go into the stadium, like ‘Let’s get this touchdown this game.’ I’m like, ‘I’ll do my best. I got you. I’m trying.’ He kind of brings it up here and there. Like, maybe this week will be the week…”

Meyers appreciates the support considering all of his family is down south and it's not easy to get to so many games.

“He’s been doing his best to support [me] and come up here because all my family is down south," he said. "Just the fact that he comes up here and puts in the most effort that he can, watches the games and [is] here for me means a lot to me.”

Through seven games this season, Meyers has 41 receptions for 390 yards.
