FOXBOROUGH -- N'Keal Harry is one of the bigger stories of Patriots training camp.
The third-year wide receiver requested a trade through his agent last month, but has put together a solid stretch of practices, including some highlight-reel catches. In addition, it seems he would be OK staying with the Patriots heading into the season.
Obviously, Harry has struggled in his first two seasons in the league, totaling 45 receptions for 414 yards and four touchdowns in 21 games.
Following the in-stadium practice Tuesday night, Jakobi Meyers was asked if he's seen a difference in Harry and he gave an interesting answer. He indicated nothing has really changed and his lack of production in games may have just been the result of bad luck.
"I feel like [N'Keal] is the same guy," he said. "It's just not everybody got to see the same [N'Keal] that I saw. You didn't get to see how hard he worked off the field or the time that he put in. You just saw what happened on game day.
"Like I said, football doesn't necessarily love anybody. Sometimes the ball don't bounce your way, and that's all they saw. They didn't see all the work he's put in behind the scenes."
Harry seems to be competing for one of the final roster spots at the position with Kristian Wilkerson and Isaiah Zuber.
