The Patriots inactives list for the season opener against the Dolphins and the five-man listed includes a couple notable names.

First among those is rookie linebacker Josh Uche, the second-round pick missing his NFL debut despite not being listed on the injury report this week.

The rest of the New England inactives against Miami includes rookie tight end Dalton Keene (neck), rookie linebacker Cassh Maluia (knee), tackle Corey Kunningham and quarterback Jarrett Stidham.

Wide receiver N’Keal Harry (shouler) is active for the season opener despite being added to the injury report on Friday. Harry was one of the first Patriots on the field for pregame warmups, catching passes from a staffer to prepare for the Dolphins.

Edge defender Chase Winovich (shoulder) is also active despite being limited in practice this past week.

It’s worth noting that after spending a portion of the spring as the potential starting quarterback for the Patriots, Stidham is apparently in the third-string role to open his second NFL season, working behind starter Cam Newton and veteran backup Brian Hoyer.

Both wide receiver Gunner Olszewski (foot) and tackle Yodny Cajuste (knee) were listed as Out on the Patriots Friday injury report, with Cajuste having been placed on IR a day earlier. Olszewski was placed on injured reserve a day later. By NFL rules for 2020, Olszewski and Cajuste must be on IR for three games before they are eligible to return to the active roster.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman (knee) and cornerback Stephon Gilmore (hamstring) had been listed on the Patriots injury report as limited earlier in the week, but both key veterans were removed on Friday and will suit up for the season opener.
